Summary of Position:

Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for gathering data from disparate sources including the company’s data warehouse, competitor data and industry sources and consolidating for analysis by the Enterprise. The data collected by the Business Intelligence Analyst will help develop a picture of company’s competitiveness compared to other players in the market, be used in rate analyses, etc.
Business Intelligence Analyst will also work with members of the Enterprise to create custom reports and data files.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage BI solutions
  • Collaborate with business users
  • Ability to consolidate data from various sources for use by members of the Enterprise
  • Using current industry trends determine the appropriateness the data collected and identify any gaps
  • Ability to use data to help identify root issues of problems
  • Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations
  • Statutory reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or similar preferred
  • 5-years’ experience in a BI role.
  • Understanding of P&C Insurance industry a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
  • Understanding of reporting tools (SSRS, Tableau) and data integration tools (SSIS)
  • Knowledge of Analytics tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the Enterprise including the “C” suite.
