Location: Orlando, FL

Summary of Position:

This position performs a variety of clerical accounting tasks to assist the Accounting department.  Responsibilities include emphasis on Accounts Receivable Reconciliations, journal entries and act as backup for other staff in the Accounting Department.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, verify, and process Accounts Receivable
  • Research Accounts Receivable discrepancies
  • Accounts Receivable Reconciliation
  • Post Customer payments by recording checks
  • Reconcile outstanding checks and follow up on uncashed checks
  • Reconcile account activity for void and stop pay transactions
  • Create and maintain procedure manuals
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Maintain procedure manuals
  • Daily cash reconciliation
  • Process vendor invoices for payment
  • Process employee expense reports as needed
  • Assist with Month-End Close
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping
  • Other miscellaneous tasks and/or projects

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting a plus.  Insurance experience a plus.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in Windows based software.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word preferred.
